Summary: This camera is amazing. I upgraded from a Canon A70 and it was easily worth the money. The Canon A95 utilizes 4 AA bateries, but it runs through convention alkalines way too fast. I highly urge getting rechargeable NiMH AA batteries and a fast charger.

The pivot screen is a major plus, it's 1.8" compared to 1.5" from the Canon A70. The screen is also greater resolution than the A70.I have used the camera for three weeks and printed nearly 50 pics so far. The pics seem great and I even cropped to zoom in on a few pictures and you could not see any sign of pixelation. I love the manual flexibility with this camera, plus the automated modes make it easy for anybody to use.The camera has a nice solid feel to it and fits well in the hand. I favor the Canon A95's size instead of the ultra compact cameras like Sony's T1 since you can easily hold the camera in one hand and take photographs. But if you've got an ultra compact camera, it is awkward and it could easily fall from your hand.I highly recommend this camera to anyone looking into starting out with a 5MP camera that's affordable, flexible, and normal size.
